A deepening low pressure system near the east coast is causing areas of rain and strong winds, heaviest about the NSW central coasts. A trough in the west is also triggering patches of rain and storms. Light onshore winds over VIC and TAS are triggering isolated falls. The northern jet is helping to feed moisture from the Indian Ocean into a trough in the west, and intensifying a low in the east. The southern jet is directing a front along the southern WA coastline.
